D1 Rejects to Broadcast Small School Saturday Pregame Show Live at Monmouth Sep. 5

College Gameday type show precedes Monmouth/Wartburg game

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/01/2026) — For the first time ever, Monmouth College will host "Small School Saturday" as they host No. 9 Wartburg in the football season opener on Saturday with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Radio Monmouth, which carries the Fighting Scots on WRAM, will serve as a presenting sponsor for Saturday's show.

The show, hosted by D1 Rejects, will be live on YouTube (@Division1Rejects) from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and consist of coach and player interviews. Both head coaches will be interviewed live and the show will include pre-recorded interviews with Monmouth football players Chase Newman, Carson Strating, Gunner Bryant and Kaden Foglesong. Fans can also expect to see surprise guests and other fun elements that may include games and contests.

Additionally, segments from the show will be carried on D1 Rejects' various social media platforms, including X (Twitter) and Instagram.

The Small School Saturday set will be in the grass area behind the April Zorn press box. The D1 Rejects crew welcomes fans to make their way around the set and appropriate signs are encouraged.

This season they hosted Week 0 shows at Montana Tech (Aug. 27) and Colorado Mines (Aug. 29). The Monmouth show on Saturday will be their third of this season and their first-ever live show in Illinois.
