Foglesong Named MWC Defensive Performer of the Week
MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/08/2026) — Just hours after being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week nationally, Monmouth College sophomore Kaden Foglesong (Ipava, Illinois) was named the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week.
Foglesong had a dominant first quarter on Saturday night against No. 9 Wartburg with a forced fumble, two sacks and a stop on fourth down. His first sack ended the first Knights drive on fourth down
Later in the first quarter he had a strip-sack fumble, recovered by Monmouth. Foglesong finished the game with six tackles, two and a half tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
Foglesong is Monmouth's first MWC Player of the Week this season. The Fighting Scots will play in Virginia against Hampden Sydney at 1pm ET/12pm CT on Saturday.
