Foglesong Places Fifth in Heptathlon at Central Meet
Freshman ranks 24th nationally
MONMOUTH, Ill. (01/31/2026) — Monmouth College freshman Kaden Foglesong (Ipava, Illinois) placed fifth in the Dutch Winter Multi-Meet on Friday. Foglesong was the lone Fighting Scot participant in the event and the first to participate in the heptathlon. Out of 15 competitors, Foglesong ranked fifth overall, third among Division III athletes.
On Thursday he placed sixth in the 60m race with a time of 7.38 seconds to earn 752 points. He then finished 11th in the long jump at 5.88 m to earn 561 points. In the third event of the day he picked up 608 points with a fifth place finish in the shot put at 12.02m. He also finished fifth in the high jump with a PR of 1.80m to add 627 points. At the end of the first day he was in sixth place out of 15 competitors.
On Friday he ran the 60m hurdles in 9.07 seconds for a sixth place finish and 730 points. He set a new PR in the pole vault, clearing 3.65m to get ninth and add 496 points. In the final event, the 1000m, he added 501 points by running 3:17.69 for an 11th place finish.
With 4276 points he ranks 24th nationally this season among all D3 competitors as of 7 p.m. Friday. Foglesong will join his teammates for the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday in Grinnell, Iowa.
