Men's Golf Competes at Midwest Region Classic
MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/27/2026) — The Monmouth College men's golf team tied for 42nd at the Midwest Region Classic this weekend in Kansasville, Wisconsin. The two-round annual event includes nearly 250 golfers from more than 40 teams
Connor Watson (Macomb, Illinois) shot a team-best 82 on Friday and then carded a 7-over 79 on Saturday to finish in 176th place with a tournament score of 161 (+17). Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) shot an 85 on Friday and had Monmouth's best round of the weekend with a 78 on Saturday. He finished in 188th place with a +19 163.
Cooper Hansen (Delavan, Illinois) led a trio of Scots separated by three shots in the standings. Hansen shot 84-82-166 to finish in a tie for 206th place. Jaxson Wiler (Galva, Illinois) was right behind Hansen with an 88-79-167 to tie for 211th. Collin Heslin (Nashville, Tennessee) tied for 218th with an 83 and an 86 for a total of 169.
The Scots will face Eureka on Sunday with a dual match at Noon in Eureka.
