Men's Golf Starts Spring Season at Charger Classic

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/07/2026) — The Monmouth College men's golf team started their spring season on Monday at the Charger Classic at Lake Bracken, hosted by Carl Sandburg College. The A team finished third and the B team finished sixth.

Connor Watson (Macomb, Illinois) led the way for the Scots with an 8-over 79 as he finished tied for 11th. Newcomer Jaxson Wiler (Galva, Illinois) shot an 82 in his first Monmouth event, finishing tied for 17th with Cole Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado).Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) tied for 22nd with an 84 and Collin Heslin (Nashville, Tennessee) shot an 86 to finish 25th.

Playing on the "B" team, Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) shot an 89 to finish 29th and CJ Pugh (Abingdon, Illinois) was 31st with a 91. Davis Rogers (Atlanta, Illinois) finished 33rd with a 93 and Jase Whiteman (Andalusia, Illinois) shot a 96 to finish 36th. Aiden Poor (Pittsfield, Illinois) was 38th with a 99.

Zackery Manley (Lincoln, Illinois) shot a 110 and Jacob Miller (West Point, New York) shot 116 as both played as individuals.

The golf team will play at the Blueboy Invitational, hosted by Illinois College at the Rail in Springfield on Thursday and Friday. They will host the Fighting Scot Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Gibson Woods.
