Men's Soccer Falls at Lake Forest on Saturday

MONMOUTH, Ill. (10/19/2024) — The Monmouth College men's soccer team (2-9-2, 0-4-1) fell at Lake Forest 4-0 on Saturday in Midwest Conference play.

The Forester scored in the 11th minute and doubled the lead within 30 seconds. They outshot the Scots 4-2 in the first half and Luis Villa (El Paso, Texas) didn't make a save for Monmouth.

Alejandro Zamarripa (El Paso, Texas) took over in goal for the second half and made two saves. An own goal gave LFC a 3-0 lead in the 71st minute and they made it 4-0 with 3:24 to play.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Treyton Yi (Streamwood, Illinois) played all 90 minutes for the 12th time this season ... Monmouth had three shots on goal, one each by Branyon Heard (St. Louis, Missouri), Isai Barajas (El Paso, Texas) and Justin Barrett (Las Vegas, Nevada),, ... Lake Forest leads the all-time series 21-5-3 ... Monmouth won at home 3-2 last season ... The Scots play at Knox on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. start ... The next home game is Oct. 26 against Ripon.
