Monmouth's Krall Named Preseason All-American

Monmouth, IL (08/15/2019) — For the second straight year, Monmouth College opens the football season with a preseason All-American after D3football.com bestowed the honor on senior Joe Krall (New Berlin, Ill./New Berlin).

A 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive tackle, Krall was named to the offensive unit's second team. A two-time all-region and All-Midwest Conference performer, Krall follows defensive end Thomas Lesniewski's selection to the 2018 season's third team. It's the first back-to-back preseason All-American awards landed by the Fighting Scots since Alex Tanney - now with the NFL's New York Giants - earned three straight preseason honors heading into his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

A business major, Krall is the son of Connie Krall and Michael Krall.

The Scots will open their season at home on Sept. 7, hosting Wheaton College.
