Monmouth's Van Alstine Scores Lacrosse League's Weekly Honor

Monmouth, IL (03/03/2020) — Thomas Van Alstine (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) is making the most of his senior season, helping the Monmouth College men's lacrosse team get off to their best start in program history and earning this week's Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Performer of the Week honor.

Van Alstine had a record-setting week to help Monmouth roll to their record-setting start on move to 4-0, their best start in program history. The senior attacker fired in a program record seven goals in Saturday's 18-6 win over Wabash. The 18 goals set the new team high as the Scots rolled off their fourth straight win which tied the program's longest win streak. Van Alstine netted his seven goals on just 14 shots. On Tuesday he had scored three goals in Monmouth's 15-2 win over Clarke. For the week Van Asltine scored 10 goals with four assists with a shot on goal percentage of .548.

An economics and Spanish major, Van Alstine is the son of Terry and Theresa Van Alstine.
