Peckham, Wilson Grab Wins at Greenville Select Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/16/2022) — The Monmouth College track and field team competed at the Greenville College Select Meet on Friday. Jordan Peckham (Farmington, Illinois) and Reed Wilson (Normal, Illinois) were individual winners of their events on Friday.

Peckham won the 100m race in 12.36 and won the 200 in 25.53. Both of those results rank as the best in the MWC this season and have her in the top 50 nationally, 41st in the 100 and 49th in the 200. Linsey Turner (Elburn, Illinois) was fourth in the pole vault at 2.85m.

Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) was third in the shot put at 11.91m and second in the discus at 39.09m. Amanda Dybal (Apex, North Carolina) was right behind her in the discus at 36.71m and Addi Cox (Morton, Illinois) finished fourth at 35.09m. Dybal finished third in the hammer at 42.63m while Cox was fourth at 41.91m. Dybal also took second in the javelin throw at 31.99m.

On the men's side Wilson won the pole vault at 4.70m. Riley Dulin (Monmouth, Illinois) finished second in the 5000m with a personal best of 15:19.26, which is also the best time in the MWC so far this season.. Jonathan Oradiegwu (Richmond, Texas) was one of five competitors who finished at 1.90m in the high jump, just behind the winning leap of 1.95. Joseph Oradiegwu (Richmond, Texas) finished second in the triple jump at 14.26m and third in the long jump at 6.56m. That triple jump result ranks second in the MWC and 11th nationally.

Andy Bird (Hamilton, Illinois) was second in the shot put at 13.09m and Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) was third in the discus at 37.17m. Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) was third in the hammer throw at 45.51m, just ahead of Bird.

Next weekend the Scots compete at the Augustana Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Illinois.
