Scots Golf Teams Finish Sixth at Fighting Scot Invite

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/13/2026) — The Monmouth College men's and women's golf teams both finished in sixth place in their home Fighting Scot Fall Invite at Gibson Woods on Sunday. The two round event started on Saturday and was the first event of the year for the men's team.

On the women's side, senior Lexie Campbell (Earlville, Illinois) tied for seventh with an 84-86-170 as she finished 28 over par. In her first home meet for the Fighting Scots, Leighton Trego (Monmouth, Illinois) shot an 85-89-174 to tie for 11th. Lucy Raymond (Galesburg, Illinois) shot 104-107-211 to finish in 30th and Emma Probyn (Cuba, Illinois) shot 108-116-224 to finish 34th. Kerigan Lewis (Cambridge, Illinois) shot 114-113-227 for a 35th place finish and Elise Sullivan (Macomb, Illinois) finished 36th with a 123-117-240. Gracie Busboom (Plano, Illinois) shot a 135-137-272 to finish 39th.

On the men's side, Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) led the way with a 17th place finish as he shot 78 on Saturday and 75 on Sunday for a +11 153. Defending champion Connor Watson (Macomb, Illinois) finished tied for 18th with a 72-82-154. Watson was in fourth place after Saturday's first round. Jaxson Wiler (Galva, Illinois) matched Watson with a 75-79-154. Cooper Hansen (Delavan, Illinois) and Collin Heslin (Nashville, Tennessee) tied for 28th with scores of 150. Hansen shot 78 on Saturday and 82 on Sunday while Heslin was 85-75.

Colton McDowell (Kingston, Illinois) shot 81-83-164 to finish 34th and Davis Rogers (Atlanta, Illinois) was 39th with a score of 88-79-167. Aidan Poor (Pittsfield, Illinois) and Brody Lytle (Wataga, Illinois) tied for 44th with a total of 180. Poor shot 93-87 while Lytle was 95-85. Keigan Crummer (Galesburg, Illinois) was 46th with a 98-83-181 and CJ Pugh (Abingdon, Illinois) shot 89-93-182 to tie for 48th. Zackery Manley (Lincoln, Illinois) shot 96-94-190 to finish in 50th and Jacob Miller (West Point, New York) was in 51st at 95-96-191.

The Scots will host Eureka in a dual meet next Sunday.
