Seniors Lead Swim Teams to Sweep of Millikin

MONMOUTH, Ill. (01/24/2026) — The Monmouth College swim teams celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of Millikin on Friday. The women won 86-58 while the men won 90-73.

"It is always a great time to celebrate senior night, especially these three seniors," said head coach Jake Dacus. "From the time they have been on campus they have set the tone with leadership, academic focus and hard work every single day. They have been a huge part of moving our program forward every year and we are thankful to spend some time with them and be a part of their college experience."

WOMEN

Senior Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 50 free in 25.85 with Nora Collins (Hopedale, Illinois) in third place at 27.30. Tate also won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.94 with fellow senior Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) in second with a time of 1:06.42.

Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) led a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:23.42. Stewart took second in 2:25.15 and Fitch was third in 2:25.73. Warren also won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.15 and Smith took third in 1:16.50.

Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 200 freestyle in 2:07.21 with Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois) in third at 2:10.68. Stewart was second in the 100 butterfly in 1:08.27.

Smith took second in the 100 freestyle in 59.88 seconds while Collins was fourth in 1:00.59.

Tate, Warren, Fitch and Collins won the 200 medley relay by four seconds with a time of 1:58.20

MEN

Senior Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) won his final home event with a time of 1:06.44 in the 100 breaststroke. Main out-touched the Millikin swimmer at the wall to win by 0.15 seconds.

Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) returned to the pool and won the 200 freestyle by more than eight seconds with a time of 1:49.84. He also won the 100 butterfly by nearly nine seconds with a time of 52.85.

Bucket Youvan (Rochester, Indiana) won the 50 freestyle in 22.86 seconds. He also won the 100 freestyle in 52.09 with Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) in third at 54.39.

Jordan Bridgford (Kapolei, Hawaii) won the 500 free by 12 seconds with a time of 5:34.85. He was second in the 200 IM in 2:14.73 just in front of Coyne in 2:17.59.

Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) was second in the 100 backstroke in 58.38 seconds.

Youvan, Foster, Main and McLarty won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:34.45. Foster, Bridgford, Coyne and Main won the 200 medley relay by 10 seconds with a time of 1:46.68.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Monmouth also swept Millikin in Decatur in November ... The Scots honored Fitch, Main and Tate in a pre-meet Senior Night ceremony ... McLarty and Youvan won two individual events and both swam on a winning relay ... Main won an individual race and also won two relays ... Tate and Warren won three events on the night for the women with two individual wins and a relay win ... Friday was the final home meet of the season ... The Scots travel to Bloomington next Saturday to take on Illinois Wesleyan with a 1 p.m. dual, the final one of the season.
