Swim Teams Sweep North Central on Saturday

MONMOUTH, Ill. (01/17/2026) — The Monmouth College swim teams returned home and swept North Central on Saturday afternoon. The women won 86-45 and the men won 57-26.

"This was a great bounce back effort for us after a tough loss last night on the road," said head coach Jake Dacus. "To put the travel behind us and come back out with some really strong performances is exactly what I hoped for. We had multiple strong swims today and sual meet season bests and I'm really proud of the way the team responded."

WOMEN

Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) won two more events as she took the 500 freestyle in 5:31.79 and the 200 IM in 2:22.63.

Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.15 and also won the 50 free in a season-best 26.06.

Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) won the 200 freestyle in 2:10.14 and took third in the 100 freestyle in 1:00.86

Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 100 freestyle in 1:00.17 and took second in the 200 breaststroke in 1:14.53.

Nora Collins (Hopedale, Illinois) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.27 and took second in the 50 freestyle in 26.88.

Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) won the 100 butterfly in 1:08.34 and took second in the 50 freestyle in 27.37.

MEN

Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois), won the 100 backstroke in 59.40 seconds. And also wn the 200 freestyle in 1:58.02.

Jordan Bridgford (Kapolei, Hawaii) won the 200 IM in 2:14.50 and finished second to foster in the 100 backstroke in 59.97.

Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.09,and took second in the 50 freestyle in 25.00.

Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) won the 100 freestyle in 53.92 seconds and took second to Coyne in the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.19.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: The teams swam exhibition coed relays in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle ... Monmouth finished 1-2-3 in both mixed relays ... The Scots are back in the pool for Senior Night on Friday against Millikin.
