Swimmers Fall to Augustana and Coe in Tri-Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. (01/11/2026) — The Monmouth College swim teams competed in a tri-meet on Saturday with losses to Augustana and Coe. The women lost 163-81 to Augie and 129-123 to Coe while the men lost 221-14 to the Vikings and 177-37.5 to the Kohawks.

WOMEN

Caitlin Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois), Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) and Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois) each won two events on the day. Stewart won the 500 freestyle in 5:33.00 and the 1650 freestyle in 19:26.58. Warren won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.70 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:37.29. Warren added a second place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.37, Tate won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.14 and she won the 200 backstroke in 2:15.37.

Nora Collins (Hopedale, Illinois) took third in the 200 breaststroke behind Warren with a time of 2:44.24.

Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) was fourth in the 100 freestyle in 1:01.37 and fifth in the 50 in 27.47 seconds.

Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois) took fourth behind Stewart in the 500 freestyle in 5:51.34 and she was also fifth in the 200 freestyle in 2:11.31

Tate, Warren, Collins and Fitch took third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:59.90. Stewart, Fitch, Addie Zamora (Arma, Kansas) and Tate took fourth in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:04.37

MEN

Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) took third in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.63 and fifth in the 100 backstroke in 59.38 seconds.

Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) was fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.31

The men did not have any relays compete on the day.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Last year, in the same meet, Monmouth beat Coe in both men's and women's swimming ... The Scots compete in a dual at Beloit on Friday night ... The next home meet is Saturday, Jan. 17 against North Central at 1 p.m.
