Turner Plumer Named Second Team All-Midwest Conference

MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/22/2024) — Monmouth College sophomore Turner Plumer (Canton, Illinois) was named Midwest Conference men's basketball second team all-conference on Thursday. Plumer is the Fighting Scots lone representative on the two six-player teams for the 2023-24 season.

Plumer averaged 11.3 points per game this season while starting 21 of the 25 games. He was second on the team in both scoring and rebounding (4.7 rpg) while leading the team with a 54.6 shooting percentage. Plumer also made 70.1% of his free throws and was fourth on the team in minutes played at 24.2 per game.

Plumer had a double-double against Knox on Feb. 6 with 13 points, 10 rebounds and a game-winning basket Plumer scored in double digits 15 times on the season, including 11 of the 16 Midwest Conference games and had at least six boards in 11 games. He scored at least 11 points in each of Monmouth's final seven games and also grabbed at least five rebounds in the final six games of the season. Plumer netted a career-high 23 points in the first win over Knox on Jan. 27, scored 22 at Lake Forest on Nov. 28 and 20 at Lawrence on Jan. 23.
