Wilson, Peckham Compete at Nationals

Wilson 12th in pole vault, Peckham 20th in 60m race

MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/11/2022) — Monmouth College track and field had two competitors at the NCAA DIII Indoor National Championships in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Friday.

Reed Wilson (Normal, Illinois) competed first in the pole vault. He passed at 4.50m and cleared 4.65m on his first attempt. With 13 of the 20 competitors still alive, Wilson missed on all three attempts at 4.75m and finished in 12th place. The top eight are named All-Americans and eventually, 5.05m won the event.

Jordan Peckham (Farmington, Illinois) was seeded 20th in the 60m race and she finished 20th. Running in the first heat, Peckham finished at 7.92 seconds with 7.60 winning the heat. After three heats, the top eight qualified to Saturday's finals with 7.68 as the last qualified position. Peckham qualified with a school record 7.76.

With the indoor track and field season now complete, the Scots get ready for the outdoor season which will begin Saturday, April 2 at Millikin.
