Women's Soccer Falls to Millikin 2-0

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/05/2024) — The Monmouth College women's soccer team fell at home on Wednesday night 2-0 to Millikin. The Scots (0-2-1) will be back at home on Saturday morning in a non-conference game.

The Big Blue scored the first goal of the game in the 12th minute. They added a second goal in the 35th minute and led 2-0 at halftime.

Monmouth got a shot on goal in the 87th minute but Millikin saved the attempt by Avery Parks (Bloomington, Illinois). The final minutes played out as Big Blue left with a 2-0 win.

Anna Caster (Greenfield, Indiana) made 11 saves in the game.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Caster and Parks (Bloomington, Illinois) played all 90 minutes ... Monmouth was outshot 30-2 and shots on goal were 13-1 ... The Scots have never beat Millikin ... Monmouth hosts Rockford at 11 a.m. Saturday ... The seniors will be honored pregame and women's soccer alumni will be honored at halftime as part of the 30th anniversary of women's soccer at Monmouth celebration.
