Miyler Gives Scots Back-to-Back D3football.com Team of the Week Honorees
Monmouth, IL (11/05/2019) — Make that two-for-two after Monmouth's Nick Miyler (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) this week was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, exactly one week after the Scots' Joey Biel earned inclusion for special teams.
Miyler had arguably the best game of his Fighting Scots' career in a 21-20 overtime win at the University of Chicago, to help Monmouth clinch the Midwest Conference South Division title. His 11 tackles led the team, but his biggest stop came in overtime when his jarring hit knocked the ball loose on a two-point conversion in overtime to secure the win. Earlier in the game, the senior defensive back forced a fumble after a 32-yard gain, ending the UC's drive at the Monmouth 48.
An exercise science major, Miyler is the son of Adam and Cassy Miyler.
