Scots' Men Card Season-Low at Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Classic

Monmouth, IL (10/02/2019) — With one season-best score and two others threatening their bests, the Monmouth College men's golf team turned in the group's lowest score of the season to place fifth at Tuesday's Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Classic played at Schaeffer Memorial in Fort Madison, Iowa.

The Scots toured the 6,494-yard, par 72 course with a 331, their best score of the fall season. Ryan Prusak and Max Cook narrowly missed their season-bests after Prusak scored a 78 - three off his season-best - and Cook's 80 was just one stroke shy of equaling his best mark. Jimmy Johnson checked in with an 87 for his season-best, one stroke behind Ben Dobberstein's 86. Jakob Brokaw completed the five-man team with an 89.

Monmouth is off until Oct. 13 when they play the 18-hole SLIAC Fall Preview meet at Gateway National Golf Course in Madison.
