Scots' Men Turn in Season-Best in Fall Season Finale at Gateway National

Monmouth, IL (10/14/2019) — Monmouth's men's golf team turned in their fall season-best as one Scot scored his career-best mark and two others matched theirs Sunday at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preview at Gateway National Golf Course to finish fourth in the field of nine teams.

Freshman Ryan Prusak and sophomore Ben Dobberstein led the way, each tying their season-low scores as the Scots carded a season-low of 330, 10 strokes out of third place. Prusak fired a 75 to place him third in the field of more than 50 golfers. Dobberstein's 81 tied him for 14th. Jimmy Johnson posted his season-best, an 87, matching Noah Shield's who was a stroke shy of his fall-best to round out the team scoring. Max Cook checked in with a 91 as the Scots' No. 5 man while Jakob Brokaw posted a 96 golfing as an individual.

The Scots will return to the championship course in Madison for the SLIAC Championships Apr. 27-28.
