Scots Post Multiple Wins, PRs at Home Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/14/2026) — The Monmouth College men's and women's track and field teams hosted the Roger Haynes Invitational with nine teams from junior college to Division I. The Fighting Scots pulled off four individual wins on the day, two top-10 marks in school history and numerous personal bests.

WOMEN

Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) won the shot put with a throw of 12.79m. Jillian Toth (El Paso, Illinois) finished third at 12.16m and Kyra Bivins (Esmond, Illinois) finished sixth at 11.04m. Toth and Braun both delivered season bests in the weight throw. Toth won the event at 16.28m while Braun was third at 15.68 and Brynn Hogan (Galena, Missouri) was sixth with a PR of 14.94m.

Paige Luntsford (Cairo, Missouri) won the 3000m in 10:59.53, outdistancing the field by more than five seconds.

Maddie Rusk (Annawan, Illinois) qualified for the finals of the 60m dash with a PR of 8.06 seconds, the ninth-best time in Monmouth indoor history. She finished fourth in the finals with a time of 8.13 seconds.

Sophia Kern (Abingdon, Illinois) took third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.86 in both the prelims and finals. Tatum Points (East Peoria, Illinois) was fourth in the finals with a time of 11.23.

Melissa Bivolarov (Arlington Heights, Illinois) took sixth in the mile in a season-best 6:01.43.

MEN

Da'Von Patterson (Ponte Vedra, Florida) delivered the sixth-best indoor 200m run in Monmouth history as he won the event in 22.12 seconds. The performance shaves more than a half second off his previous PR from last year's MWC Championships.

The men's 4x200m relay team of Patterson, Jerry Reed (Danville, Illinois), Johnny York (Elmwood, Illinois) and Maddux Clark (Monmouth, Illinois) finished second in 1:30.81.

Tashawn Ruffin (Bloomington, Illinois) was second in the triple jump with a season-best 13.70m while Damone Johnson (Macomb, Illinois) was sixth at 12.61m.

Logan Morse (Yates City, Illinois) took second in the high jump with a PR of 1.95m. Patrick Curry (Chicago, Illinois) finished third at 1.80 and Luke Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado) was fifth with a PR of 1.75m.

Freshman Landon Erxleben (Pekin, Illinois) was third in the shot put at 15.03m with Gunner Bryant (Curryville, Missouri) in fifth at 14.20m and Dame Thioubou (Monmouth, Illinois) in sixth at 14.14m

Matthew Bright (Macomb, Illinois) tied for fourth in the pole vault as he tied his indoor best at 4.00,.

Blake Orwig (Wyoming, Illinois) was fifth in the weight throw at 15.85m with Bryant in sixth at 15.39m

Kaden Foglesong (Ipava, Illinois) set a PR in the 60m hurdles prelims at 8.88 seconds before finishing seventh in the finals in 8.93.

Xander Stoub (Palos Heights, Illinois) took second in the 5000m run at 16:31.44. Fernando Avila Rubio (Alpha, Illinois) was second in the 800m with a PR of 2:04.21

Patterson was fifth in the 60m race at 7.067 after qualifying in 7.15,

Morse took sixth in the 400m race with a time of 52.82, a new PR in his first 400m run of the 2026 season.
