Anderson Named MWC Performer of the Week
MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/20/2024) — For the second time this season, Monmouth College junior Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) had been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the week in track & field.
Anderson threw 19.05m in the weight throw on Saturday at Illinois College. the third-best throw in school history and the best throw in the MWC so far this season. Anderson ranks eighth in all of Division III for the weight throw. just ahead of teammate Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) who is 11th.
Anderson also won the POW award in the opening week of the season and he and Toberman have combined for four of the six awards this season. The Scots will compete in the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships this weekend at Ripon College in Wisconsin.
