by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (10/23/2024) — The Monmouth College women's soccer team got a first-half hat trick from Danielle Beach (Geneseo, Illinois) and won at Knox 3-1 on Tuesday. The win is the first for the Fighting Scots (4-8-3, 2-3-1) in Galesburg in the regular season since 2014.

"I was proud of the way we competed from the opening whistle," said head coach Lucas Henderson. "Danielle put together an incredible hat trick performance tonight. I was also happy with how our back line handled some pressure, especially in the second half."

Beach put the Scots on top in the 11th minute with her eighth goal of the season, unassisted. Seven minutes later she latched onto a pass from Kiersten Medinger (Silvis, Illinois) and gave the Scots a 2-0 lead.
