by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/08/2025) — The Monmouth College track and field team swept the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week awards on Tuesday as Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) repeated as the women's winner and Tashawn Ruffin (Bloomington, Illinois) won in the men's category.

Boley won the discus at Saturday's Augustana Viking Olympics with a throw of 49.06m, the top throw for any Division III competitor so far this season and the second-best throw in Monmouth history. The school record is 50.14m by M Club Hall of Famer Tanesha Hughes in 2009.

Boley also took third in the hammer at 50.34m on Saturday and fifth in the shot put at 12.23m. She ranks in the top 30 in the nation in both events.

Ruffin won the Viking Olympics triple jump on Saturday at 13.32m. He has won the triple jump in two straight meets, ranks #1 in the MWC in the event and top 50 in the nation. He also finished seventh on Saturday in the long jump at 6.24m.

The Scots will compete at the Dick Young Classic, hosted by Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday.
