Boley, Toberman Win MWC Weekly Track & Field Honors

Both ranked nationally after first outdoor meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/02/2024) — Coming off their first outdoor meet of the season, the Monmouth College track & field teams earned two Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week honors on Tuesday. Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) won the women's award while Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) won the men's award.

At the 15-team Dutch Invitational hosted by Central College, Boley was second overall in both the discus at 42.84m and the shot put at 13.47m. The shot put throw is the eighth-best in Monmouth history. Boley also finished fifth in the hammer throw with a career-best 47.29m. She was first among D3 Participants in all three events on Thursday, leads the MWC in all three categories this season while ranking 9th nationally in the shot put and 11th in the discus.

Toberman finished first among all D3 throwers in the hammer throw at 53.92m, the fourth-best throw in school history. The performance leads the MWC this season and ranks 26th nationally. Toberman also finished sixth overall in the discus at 42.86m and eighth overall in the shot put at 14.67m. He was first among D3 participants in all three events. Toberman ranks 1st in the MWC in all three events and is also 48th nationally in the shot put.

The Scots will compete on Saturday at the True Blue Open in Jacksonville, Illinois. The meet, hosted by Illinois College, begins at 11 a.m.
