Eli Newton (Dallas City, Illinois) was 161st with a time of 28:59.0 and William Plumley (Geneseo, Illinois) was 200th in 29:46.5. Liam MacLellan (Chicago, Illinois) ran 33:42.2 to finish 289th with Braden Bernas (Aurora, Illinois) in 299th at 34:28.4.

The women's team had three runners in the 6K race, all freshmen. Samantha Costello (Morris, Illinois) finished 143rd in 27:51.50 with Isabella Manley (Peoria, Illinois) in 183rd at 30:10.50. Emma Heiser (Marseilles, Illinois) was 212th in 35:00.90

"That was a rough one today," said head coach Brady Hunt. "We weren't prepared for the occasion or the conditions and it showed. We've got a few weeks to regroup, come together and push on towards the end of the season."

The Scots have next weekend off before running in the Augustana Interregional on Saturday, Oct. 14.
