Foglesong Named D3 Team of the Week
MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/08/2026) — Monmouth College sophomore football player Kaden Foglesong (Ipava, Illinois) was named to the Week 1 D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday.
In his first career start, Foglesong had an immediate impact against No. 9 Wartburg on Saturday night. He ended the first Knights drive by sacking the quarterback on fourth down inside the red zone. The Scots took the ball down the field after that turnover on downs and scored the first points of the game for a 7-0 lead.
Later in the first quarter he had a strip-sack fumble, recovered by Monmouth and the Scots offense scored again for a 14-0 lead. Foglesong finished the game with six tackles, two and a half tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
Foglesong is Monmouth's first D3football.com Team of the Week selection this season. The Fighting Scots will play in Virginia against Hampden Sydney at 1pm ET/12pm CT on Saturday.
