Four Volleyball Players Named Academic All-District

by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (12/16/2025) — The Monmouth College volleyball teams had the maximum four student-athletes named Division III Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday. To qualify for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least sophomore standing, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 90% of their teams games or start at least 66% of their games.

Senior Alana Robertson (Mapleton, Illinois) and junior Zoe Nizzia (Pekin, Illinois) were repeat selections. Sophomores Kaylee Celus (Annawan, Illinois) and Chloe Strachan (Reynolds, Illinois) were first-time selections in their first year of eligibility.

Celus has also advanced to the Academic All-American ballot. All-American voting takes place between Dec. 16 and 23 with the recipients announced on Jan. 13. Celus was the Midwest Conference Player of the Year, the first Monmouth player to ever earn that honor.

So far the Scots have had 13 players named CSC Academic All-District for the 2025-26 academic year. The next announcement will be the football team on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
