Golfers Finish Midwest Region Classic

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/22/2024) — The Monmouth men's golf team played the final round of the Midwest Region Classic on Saturday at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin. The Scots finished in 43rd place as a team with a total of +102.

Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) led the Scots with a 162nd place finish. He shot +8 80 on Saturday, one shot off his 79 on Friday, to finish +15 159. Cole Reavis jumped up to 207th place with a second round of +12 84 on Saturday to finish +24 with a 168. Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) followed his 83 on Friday with a +15 87 to finish tied for 213th with a 170. CJ Pugh (Abingdon, Illinois) shot +19 91 on Saturday and stayed in 234th place with a +37 181. Zackery Manley (Lincoln, Illinois) moved up four spots to 140th with a +33 105, 16 shots better than his Friday score and he finished +82 with a 226.

The women's team is not competing this weekend at the Midwest Region Classic and will next be in action at the SLIAC Championships October 6-8 in Metamora, Illinois. The men will play next weekend at the Millikin Invite in Decatur, Illinois.
