Hansen Named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week

First female to win football award

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/15/2025) — Monmouth College football placekicker Mylee Hansen (Pekin, Illinois) was named the Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday. Hansen is the first female to be honored by the conference in football as a weekly award winner.

Hansen made two field goals on Saturday, the first female to make a field goal in Monmouth history. Her first field goal was a 21-yarder and came on the last play of the first half for a 52-0 lead. She added a 30-yarder in the third quarter and added three extra points to finish the game with nine points. Hansen was a perfect 5-for-5 on her kicks Saturday and is now 6-for-6 in her vasrity career with an extra point against Lawrence last year.

Hansen's nine points in a game is both a Monmouth football and Midwest Conference record for a female.The NCAA single game record for points by a female is not listed for any division but the nine points is believed to be among the top single-game performances.

The Fighting Scots (1-1, 1-0) travel to Lake Forest for a 1 p.m. kickoff in conference play on Saturday. The next home game is Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. against Illinois College.
