Holmes Scores Twice in Women's Lacrosse Loss

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/15/2023) — The Monmouth College women's lacrosse team went on the road and lost a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game at Northwestern-Minnesota 20-3 on Saturday.

The hosts scored four goals in the first quarter and got to a running clock with 7:15 left in the second. They pushed the lead to 13-0 at halftime and led 17-0 when the Scots got on the board. Mac Homes (Clive, Iowa) scored with 2:35 to play in the third quarter as Natalie Labicki (Antioch, Illinois) picked up the assist.

Elizabeth Schmidt (Waverly, Iowa) scored her team leading 18th goal in the fourth quarter, unassisted. Holmes scored on a free position attempt with 1:13 to play and UNW scored with one second left for the final score of the game.

The Scots are next in action on Saturday, April 22 with a MWLC game at Hamline. The next home game is Wednesday, April 26 against St.
