League's Elite 20 Award for Academic Excellence goes to Monmouth's Chadderdon
Monmouth, IL (11/08/2019) — Monmouth's women's soccer team picked up an award at today's Midwest Conference Championships before the clock even started when junior defender Aspen Chadderdon (Marshalltown, Iowa/Marshalltown) was named the league's Elite 20 winner.
The MWC Elite 20, modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 award, recognizes student-athletes participating in the championships with the highest GPA. Chadderdon - a two-sport student-athlete who is a member of Monmouth's women's lacrosse team in the spring - earned academic all-conference honors from the MWC last season and is a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference two-time academic all-conference honoree.
A physics and biochemistry major, Chadderdon is the daughter of Abie and Penni Chadderdon.
