Men Keep Streak Going with Shutout of Regents

Monmouth ran their win streak to three with a 3-0 blanking of Rockford on a humid Wednesday afternoon at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
Nicolas Esparon took a feed from Alvaro Alvarez in the 10th minute to give the Scots the only goal they needed to win their second shutout in three games. Reid Sondgeroth then fed James Azzi for an insurance goal less than a minute before halftime as the Scots kept the heat on. The Scots put one final goal in the net with less than a minute left in the game when Lucas Sondgeroth deposited Cadan Glattback's pass into the back of the net.
Goalkeepers Marcos Garibay and Kieren Marshall split duties in goal, making eight saves as Rockford fired off 15 shots, the same amount as Monmouth.
The Scots conclude their brief two-game home stand with a 2:30 matchup with Westminster Saturday afternoon.
