Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Cornell

MONMOUTH,, Ill. (10/25/2025) — The Monmouth College men's soccer team fell 1-0 at Cornell on Saturday. The Fighting Scots (3-8-3, 0-6-1) allowed a goal in the final minute of the first half in the loss.

The Rams scored with 57 seconds left in the first half. Both teams finished the game with two shots on goal and Monmouth outshot the Rams 10-6 overall.

Isai Barajas (El Paso, Texas) and Justin Barrett (Las Vegas, Nevada) had Monmouth's shots on goal, both in the first half. Luis Villa (El Paso, Texas) made one save in the game.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Villa and Treyton Yi (Streamwood, Illinois) played all 90 minutes ... Owen Murray (Cedar City, Utah) had two shots, as did Omar Portillo (El Paso, Texas) but none on goal ... Monmouth leads the all-time series 31-24-7 but the Rams have won two in a row since the Scots won 2-1 in 2023 ... Monmouth finishes the regular season at home next Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against nationally ranked Lake Forest ... Saturday is Senior Day for Parker Davis (Burlington, Iowa).
