Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 at Ripon

MONMOUTH, Ill (10/19/2025) — The Monmouth College men's soccer team gave up two goals in a 2-minute span and lost 2-0 at Ripon on Saturday. The Fighting Scots (3-7-3, 0-5-1) put more shots on goal than the hosts but couldn't break through.

Ripon scored with 10:21 gone in the contest and made it 2-0 less than two minutes later. Monmouth dominated the rest of the first half with seven shots on goal to just one for Ripon.

Owen Murray (Cedar City, Utah) and Paul Oros (El Paso, Texas) both put three shots on goal for the game but couldn't beat the Red Hawks keeper. Luis Villa (El Paso, Texas) made five saves in the game.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Villa and Treyton Yi (Streamwood, Illinois) played all 90 minutes ... Monmouth used 19 players ... Parker Davis (Burlington, Iowa) and Isai Barajas (El Paso, Texas) each had a shot on goal ... Aimilios Ioannout (Lanarca, Cyprus) had two shots on goal ... The Scots had more shots on goal, 10-7, than the Red Hawks ... Ripon leads the all-time series 16-10-3 with three straight wins ... The last Monmouth win was 2-1 in 2022 ... The Scots play at Cornell next Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
