Monmouth Swim Teams Fall at Illinois Wesleyan

MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/01/2026) — The Monmouth College swim teams finished their regular season on Saturday with a dual meet at Illinois Wesleyan. The Scots men lost 108-58 while the women fell 180-48.

WOMEN

Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.33 with teammate Lea Schmitt (Rockford, Illinois) in second at 1:16.90. Warren took second in the 200 IM in 2:22.23 and Schmitt was second in the 50 breaststroke in 35.39 seconds.

Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) was second in the 100 butterfly in 1:09.16 and second in the 500 free in 5:41.44. She also took third in the 200 freestyle in 2:10.02.

Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) was third in the 50 freestyle in 28.52 with Schmitt in fifth in 31.70 seconds. Fitch was also third in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.65 and fourth in the 50 backstroke in 33.28.

Addie Zamora (Arma, Kansas) took third in the 50 fly in 32.18.

The 200 medley relay team of Fitch, Warren, Stewart and Zamora took second in 2:04.43.

MEN

Jordan Bridgford (Kapolei, Hawaii) won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.22 and was second in the 50 backstroke in 28.78 seconds,

Bucket Youvan (Rochester, Indiana) was second in the 50 freestyle in 23.41 seconds, He also took second in the 100 free in 52.00.

Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) was second in the 50 breaststroke in 29.60 seconds. Coyne was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.19 with Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) in third in 1:09.42. Main took third in the 200 IM in 2:23.60.

Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) was second in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.87 and second in the 50 fly in 27.49 seconds.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Youvan, Main, Foster and Bridgford won in 1:38.59 and the 200 medley relay team of Foster, Coyne, Bridgford and Youvan took second in 1:46.65.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: The Scots and Titans haven't met in a dual meet in the last 15 years ... Seniors Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois) and Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) were among those who missed the meet with illness ... The Scots are off until the season-ending Midwest Conference Championships in Grinnell, Iowa ... The MWC Championships start on Thursday, Feb, 19 and end on Sunday, Feb, 22.
