Monmouth, IL (10/02/2019) — Monmouth's women's golf team geared up for next week's inaugural appearance in the SLIAC Championships with back-to-back wins after the squad took first place at Tuesday's Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Classic.

Led by Mamie Ambrosch's 79 - one off her personal-best for a runner up finish- the Scots carded their second-lowest score of the season with a 328 to take the title on the par 72, 6,303-yard Schaeffer Memorial course in Fort Madison, Iowa. Haley Hoekstra checked in an 81 for third as the four scoring Scots all finished within six strokes. Morgan Bemis took fifth with an 83, two strokes ahead of Dani Freeman's 85, tying for sixth. Jessi Haines completed Monmouth's five-woman team, touring the course in a career-best 89.

The Scots make their SLIAC Tournament debut Monday and Tuesday at the league tournament held at The Links in Jacksonville.
