MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/03/2022) — The Monmouth College track and field teams opened their outdoor season on Saturday at the Big Blue Alumni Invite hosted by Millikin in Decatur, Illinois.

Jordan Peckham (Farmington, Illinois) had a big day winning the 100m race, 200m race and running the anchor leg on the winning 4x100m relay team. The senior won the 100m race in a time of 12.74, winning more than half a second. Peckham ran 27.08 to win the 200m race by 0.3 seconds. She did not run the 400m, the race in which she qualified for nationals in 2021. The women's 4X100m relay team won in 51.22 with Lauren Anderson (Cambridge, Illinois), Nicole Hoyer (Montgomery, Illinois), Linsey Turner (Elburn, Illinois) joining Peckham in the relay.

Reed Bona (Dyersburg, Tennessee) won the pole vault at 4.10m. The women's pole vault wasn't held as the winds were too strong by that point in the day.

Andy Bird (Hamilton, Illinois) won the shot put at 13.50m and the hammer throw at 48.47m. Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) was third in the shot at 13.23m and third in the hammer at 47.70m. Bird finished third in the discus at 37.48m.
