Price Scores but Scots Fall to Edgewood 3-1
MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/10/2023) — The Monmouth College men's soccer team scored their first goal of the season but lost at Edgewood College 3-1 on Saturday.
Edgewood took the lead in the 11th minute and doubled the lead six minutes later. The Scots got on the board in the 43rd minute as freshman Isaac Price (Peoria, Illinois) scored an unassisted goal. Neither team scored for the next 34 minutes and Edgewood finished off the scoring with a goal in the 77th minute.
Christopher Zavala (New Lenox, Illinois) made three saves in goal for the Scots. Ramon Aguilar (St. Louis, Missouri) led Monmouth with two shots on goal.
