Ralston Named MWC Pitcher of the Week
MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/23/2026) — Monmouth College junior pitcher Roy Ralston (Macon, Illinois) was named Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Ralston struck out 10 batters in just four innings on Friday at Rockford. He came out of the bullpen and allowed no earned runs, two hits and walked one in relief. Of the 12 outs recorded by Ralston, 10 were strikeouts with one pop up to shortstop and a flyout to center.
Ralston tied his career record with 10 strikeouts which he also accomplished last April against Grinnell. He has struck out at least eight batters in three straight outings and leads the Midwest Conference with 37 strikeouts in 27 innings.
The Scots start Midwest Conference action this weekend as they host Ripon in a Saturday double header at Noon. The teams will play a single game on Sunday at Noon.
