It took a few innings, but the Monmouth College bats heated up in their Florida finale, a 9-2 win over Immaculata University.

Monmouth broke on top in the third when Logan Komater raced home with the first of his four runs in the game on Mike Dato's ground out. The Mighty Macs inched ahead on a pair of runs with two outs in the fourth, but the lead was short-lived. Komater's run in the fifth on Tyler Ulfig's base hit knotted the score at 2-2, setting up a game-changing four-run sixth.

Four Scots hits combined with three IU errors for a four-run sixth was all the momentum Monmouth needed. Leading 7-2 heading into the top of the ninth, Komater scored his fourth run of the game on another Dato hit for an insurmountable 9-2 lead. Matt Temaner had scored just before Komater on a Campbell Quirk base knock.

Dato finished the game with three RBIs while Ulfig completed the day with a team-high three hits. Mason Smith, who came on in relief in the fifth picked up his first win of the season with one inning of work.
