Scots' Lacrosse Equals Program High, Fourteen Named Academic All-Conference

Monmouth, IL (06/22/2020) — For the second consecutive year Monmouth's men's and women's lacrosse programs have 14 student-athletes selected as Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) and Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) academic all-conference honorees, equaling last year's program high.

Six Scots' men - a program high - and eight Scots' women were named to the all-academic list. One man and two women made biochemistry the most popular major for lacrosse team members at Monmouth. Neuroscience, business, exercise science and economics tied for the second most popular major with two student-athletes each majoring in those fields of study. Three men and two women were also double majors.

Monmouth's men's award winners were:

Seniors: Eli Goichenberg (Pomona, Calif./Walnut), a history major; Joe Incorvati (Baltimore, Md./Manasquan (N.J.)), a business major; Jake McCrery (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg), a biochemistry major; and Thomas Van Alstine (McHenry, Ill./West), an economics and Spanish major.

Junior: Nick Thomas (Elmhurst, Ill./York), a music and psychology major.

Sophomore: Liam Meyer (Cedarburg, Wis./Marquette U-High), a business and economics major.

Monmouth's women's honorees were:

Seniors: Kyla Baker (Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep), an exercise science major; and Amanda Green (Henderson, Nev./Basic), a theatre major.

Juniors: Aspen Chadderdon (Marshalltown, Iowa/Marshalltown), a physics and biochemistry major; and Hadyn DeLeeuw (Kirksville, Mo./Kirksville), a neuroscience major.

Sophomore: Olivia Matlock (Lees Summit, Mo./Saint Teresas Academy), a classics major; and Sarah Poirier (Lombard, Ill./Willowbrook) a biochemistry and neuroscience major.

Freshman: Mackenzie Holmes (Clive, Iowa/Waukee), an accounting major; and Madison Meldrum (Colona, Ill./United Township), an exercise science major.

In order to earn MLC/MWLC academic all-conference status, student-athletes must have achieved a minimum 3.30 grade point average for the entire academic year.
