Scots' Sharp Named MWC Performer of the Week
Monmouth, IL (03/10/2020) — Conner Sharp (Aledo, Ill./Mercer County) was indeed that in the Scots' season-opener last Saturday and has been selected the Midwest Conference Baseball Pitcher Performer of the Week for his efforts.
Sharp, a senior, tossed a seven-inning shutout last Saturday as Monmouth opened the season with a 7-0 win over Norwich. Sharp fanned eight, walked two and scattered six hits while allowing just three runners to reach second base.
A kinesiology major, Sharp is the son of Tom and Staci Sharp.
