It didn't take Monmouth long to get back on the winning track. In their first game since their program record-tying six match unbeaten streak came to a close last week, the Scots rolled by Greenville 4-1 Saturday night.

Kara-Jade Gordon make short work of the Panthers, punching in the game's first goal in the fourth minute. The score stayed at 1-1 through halftime, but Devin Cross followed Gordon's lead, finding the back of the net in the first minute of the second half. Jacie Reis and Yari Aguado added more insurance with goals in the 72nd and 73rd minutes as Monmouth built a comfortable lead. Greenville scored late, in the 81st minute but the game was already out of reach.

Greenville outshot the Scots 15-9, but Monmouth put six of their attempts on frame compared to the Panthers' five shots on goal. Kensey Arlt picked up the win in goal as Monmouth improved to 5-1-1 on the season.

Monmouth hosts Principia Tuesday at 4:45 before opening Midwest Conference play next weekend at St. Norbert and Beloit.
