Scots Complete Second Round of SLIAC Championships

MONMOUTH, Ill. (05/05/2025) — The Monmouth men's golf team dropped into 11th place after the second round of the 13-team SLIAC Championships in Edinburgh, Indiana. The third and final round is set for Tuesday at Timbergate Golf Course.

Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) had Monmouth's best round on Monday with +5 round of 77. The senior shot 79 on Sunday and is in 39th place overall at +12. Senior Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) followed his first round 79 with an 83 on Monday and is now tied for 47th place at +18.

Junior Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) is also tied for 47th place after carding a +13 85 on Monday. Henson has Monmouth's second best round on Sunday with a 77. Sophomore Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) is in 54th place as he followed Sunday's 83 with a +13 85 on Monday and he is now +24 overall. After leading the Scots with a +4 76 on Sunday, junior
Cole Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado) shot a +21 93 on Monday to move down to 55th place with a +25 overall. .

At +65, Monmouth dropped from eighth place to 11th place, two shots behind Blackburn. The Scots combined for a 311 on Sunday and a score of 330 on Monday. The Mississippi University for Women, ranked 36th in the nation for Division III, leads the tournament by eight strokes over Lake Forest after a day two score of -1.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
