Scots Post 19 Career Highs at True Blue Open

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/07/2024) — The Monmouth College track and field teams competed at the True Blue Open, hosted by Illinois College on Saturday. Full results had not been provided by time of publication.

WOMEN
Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) won the discus with a season-best 43.67m throw. She out-paced the runner-up by almost two full meters. Boley was also second in the hammer throw at 45.92m and third in the shot put at 11.97m. Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) placed second in the shot put at 12.47m and fourth in the discus with a career-best 38.53m throw and Jillian Toth (El Paso, Illinois) was fourth in the hammer at 44.17m.

Samantha Costello (Morris, Illinois) was third in the 5000m with a time of 20:14.83. The women's 4x100m relay team of Maddie Rusk (Annawan, Illinois), Makaiha Moore-Bell (Knoxville, Illinois), Tayler Raska (Galesburg, Illinois) and Miranda Hursey (Hanna City, Illinois) finished fourth in 50.39 seconds.

MEN
Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) finished second in the hammer throw at 50.76m. Toberman took third in the shot put at 14.23m and fourth in the discus at 41.51m. Colton Hutson (Mount Pleasant, Iowa) was third in the javelin at 43.69m.

Neo Colter (Geneseo, Illinois) finished fourth in the 3000m steeplechase with a PR time of 10:26.33. William Plumley (Geneseo, Illinois) was fourth in the 5000m race in 16:23.31.

The Scots head to Beloit, Wisconsin next Saturday for the Beloit Relays.
