Scots Ready to Begin Another Streak

Monmouth's bid to break the program record with their seventh straight unbeaten match came to a halt at six Tuesday afternoon when the University of Dubuque handed the Scots their first defeat since October 23 of last season. The Scots entered the game 4-0-1 this season, but Dubuque took a 2-0 lead in the first half with goals in the 23rd and 38th minutes.
The Scots rallied in the second half, when Mikayla McCart and Jacie Reis found the net just two minutes apart to knot the game at 2-2. The Spartans answered just three minutes later to end the Scots' record-tying streak.
Monmouth will have a chance to begin another streak this weekend when they travel to Greenville for a 7 p.m. matchup Saturday night.
