Scots Take Team Title, Five of Top Six Spots

Monmouth, IL (09/15/2019) — Monmouth took five of the top six individual places to en route to winning Friday's Benedictine Eagle Fall Invitational at St. Andrews Golf Course in West Chicago.

The Scots used their depth and balance to card a 344 team score on the par 71, 5,805-yard course, winning by 13 strokes. Just four strokes separated the Scots' scorers, led by Mamie Ambrosch's runner up total of 84, just two strokes out of the lead. Dani Freeman was a stroke back in third with an 85 and Morgan Bemis posted an 87 to place fourth. Haley Hoekstra carded an 88 to finish in fifth and round out the team scoring.

Kaniesha Whatley - the Scots' No. 5 player - posted a 97, matching Jessi Haines' total golfing as an individual.

Monmouth will play at the Knox Invitational Sept. 21-22 at Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg.
