Scots Win Four Events, Finish Third at Home Meet

MONMOUTH, Ill. (11/07/2026) — The Monmouth College men's and women's swimming teams both finished third out of six teams in the Monmouth Invite on Saturday. Individually, Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) Logan Goss (Bloomington, Illinois) and Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) won events.

MEN

Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) won both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. In the 50 he swam 22.43 seconds and he won the 100 with a time of 49.26. Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) was fifth in the 100 at 52.99 seconds.

Logan Goss (Bloomington, Illinois) won the 100 backstroke in 57.02 seconds.

Daniel Wilke (Fort Worth, Texas) took fourth in the 200 IM in 2:09.51 with Goss in fifth at 2:12.61.

The Scots placed second in the 400 freestyle relay as Wilke, Foster, Goss and McLarty turned in a time of 3:26.66. The 200 medley relay team of Goss, McLarty, Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) and Foster took third in 1:42.35.

WOMEN

Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:38.33, five seconds better than her time last weekend in Bloomington.

Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.31 and fourth in the 200 IM in 2:28.68.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Lahna Schroeder (Clinton, Iowa), Stewart, Warren and Sammi Panfil (Highland, Indiana) placed fifth in 2:04.69. The 400 freestyle relay team of Panfil, Stewart, Addison Zielinski (Washington, Illinois) and Ainsley Kelly (Tremont, Illinois) finished sixth in 4:24.55.

The teams will swim at Illinois College next Saturday. The next home meet is on Friday, Jan. 15 against Beloit.
