Seipold Makes 21 Saves but Scots Lose 5-1 at IWU

Morrow scores second of the season

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/11/2025) — The Monmouth College women's soccer team lost 5-1 at Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday evening. The Scots were outshot 51-4 and sophomore goalkeeper Izzy Seipold (Peoria, Illinois) made 21 saves on the night.

The Titans broke through in the 30th minute and added two more goals before halftime. They took 32 shots in the first half as Seipold notched 17 saves

Lauren Dellavalle (Peoria, Illinois) took Monmouth's first shot of the game less than a minute into the second half. The Titans scored two goals in 65 seconds to make it 5-0 with 34 minutes to play. Monmouth got on the board in the 64th minute as Natalie Morrow (Silvis, Illinois) scored her second goal of the season.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: The 21 saves by Seipold are the second-most in a game by a Monmouth player in school history ... The record is 34 by Lauren Bentrup against Principia in 2001 ... Bronte de Zwart (Adelaide, Australia) played the final 18 minutes in goal and made three saves ... The Scots used 21 players in the gameAvery Parks (Bloomington, Illinois) saw the most action with 79 minutes ... Her streak of 4,509 consecutive minutes played ended on Monday against Blackburn ... Jaden Stockton (Springfield, Illinois) had one shot on goal ... Corner kicks were 13-1 to IWU ... The Titans lead the all-time series 9-0 and won 8-3 in Monmouth last year ... The Scots host Buena Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
