Seven Monmouth Basketball Players Named CSC Academic All-District
MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/25/2025) — The Monmouth College men's and women's basketball teams combined to have seven student-athletes named Division III Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday. To qualify for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least sophomore standing, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 90% of their teams games or start at least 66% of their games.
The women's team placed four juniors on the All-District team and all four are repeat selections from last year. Ella Goodrich (Minonk, Illinois), Allie Hoy (Woodland, Illinois), Averi Rangel (Moline, Illinois) and Kynlee Stearns (Gilson, Illinois) earned the honor for the women's team.
The men's team had repeat selections for senior Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) and junior Kyle Taylor (Moline, Illinois). Junior Jason Huber (Carpentersville, Illinois) made it for the first time after also winning the Midwest Conference's Elite 20 Award at the MWC Tournament.
Overall, the Scots have had 22 CSC Academic All-District selections so far for the 2024-25 season. The CSC swimming honorees will be announced next Tuesday.
